Sightseeing
At the western end of Salinas we find the Salinas Military Artillery Fort, whose entrance is guarded by three cannons and Army personnel who receive us with a smile and good treatment. They give us some directions to drive inside and get to the famous Chocolatera.
A sign on the road gives us an option to take a right to go to the Chocolatera or turn left to go to the Lobería, a site of rocks separated from the coast where some dozens of sea lions have made their home.
This is a great sightseeing location. There is a gazebo built in wood and guadúa which allows you to enjoy the sea and the beach. There is also a lookout point where you can spot sea lions.
