Sightseeing

Komiza is the smaller of the two towns on our island Vis. It is a wide bay, nestled between two peninsulas. It appears more classy, more artsy and has fine restaurants and bars along the promenade. An old tower, where the fishing museum is housed, is the striking, pretty building. Some little shops are inviting you to stroll further along the main alley. You can finde several beaches in Komiza bay, so it is easy to spend a whole day there.

Stiniva is the most popular place in Vis. The bay is special as it was a huge cave that collapse thousands of years ago. What is left an special is the impressive entrance into the bay. You can enter by sea but as well make a hike from the top down to the beach. Exciting in and on every way!

The blue cave or modra spilja is the most popular cave in Dalmatia. It is located in the Bisevo island as well as the monk seal cave. So a boat excursion to Bisevo could entertain you for a whole day, as there are except the caves as well beaches and restaurants to visit.

À ne pas manquer

The Military Underworld

Vis is a forbidden and hidden military island of the former Yugoslavia. Before it became Croatian the Yugoslavian army built dozens of tunnel-systems and military facilities all over the island. All of them are today abandoned and quite an adventure to explore. Ask us about a tour, we explored all of them! ;)
À ne pas manquer

The Vis Archipelago

Right in front of Milna Bay you can find a very special archipelago. Many little stunning islands and reefs are fascinating to visit by boat, to snorkel around and explore the rocky shores. The Green Cave is also a part of that island group. With a private charming boat tour you can easily visit all in a few hour. Ask us :)
À ne pas manquer

Zaglav

Zaglav is the most sandy and also wide beach on Vis and next to our Milna bay. You have to park in Milna and walk for 10 to 15 minutes all along the sea on a nice path. A little restaurant there is helping if you are hungry or thirsty ;)
À ne pas manquer

Hum with a view

Visiting the highest mountain Hum leads you through the inland and valley of Vis. To get up to the (almost) top will let you pass an old airport and Tito's Cave, a spot in the hills, where the former president of Yugoslavia hid in the second world war. On the top of Hum there is still and the last military base on Vis, don't go there. But before that end of the road you can visit a tiny church wich has a gorgeous view on Komiza bay.
