Since 1462. In front of the Rialto market area, Cantina Do Mori stands out for its typical interior, so authentic that it’s seem created for a movie set, the genuine Venetian hosts, and the clever double entrance from two secret streets close to the Rialto bridge. One of the most authentic and picturesque “bacaro” in Venice , famous for being one of Giacomo Casanova’s (THE latin lover) favourites! Enjoy having some glasses of local wines accompanied by “cicchetti” the traditional Venetian appetizers. Ask Rudi and Gianni, the hosts, for some local specialities. Open daytime: 8am to 7.30, close on Sundays Cantina Do Mori €€ Sestiere San Polo Calle do Mori, 429 30125 Venezia +39 041 5225401

Traditional Venetian eatery close to Rialto market area with a counter crammed with cicchetti, plus regional wines by the glass. We can find ricotta cheese with figs, tuna and red radish, codfish with celery, bacon with caramelized onion, it is quite impossible to mention all the appetizers available. So this 'bacaro' becomes a compulsory break if you are nearby and sometimes could be overcrowded. It is placed near the popular ‘Ruga del Ravano’ street but you can find anyway some tables placed in the lateral ‘ calle’ but if you are sat the price may grow up slightly. Open daytime: 8:30am to 8.30pm. Sundays 8.30am to 7 pm Osteria dai Zemei € Sestiere San Polo Calle del Scaleter, 1045/b 30125 Venezia +39 041 5208596
