Best place to get local seafood fresh off the boat. This is where the locals go for shrimp, oysters, crabs, clams, fish etc... and has been a favorite for years! The little pink building with the shrimp boats outside is just what you expect!

Elijah's is a family favorite restaurant- not cheap, but right on the boardwalk of Chandler's Wharf (riverfront boardwalk) and full of the most amazing model ships! (they always fascinated me as a kid and still do) Great place for lunch and dinner if you're making the day-trip to Wilmington!

The Cotton Exchange is a fun place to do some shopping on a day-trip to Wilmington, only 45 minutes north if you're here long enough to make the trip. Very close to lots of restaurants and other shopping.

Indigo Farms offers a beautiful garden center and local produce market- complete with seasonal pick-your-own strawberries & blueberries (biggest blueberry bushes you've ever seen!), farm animals you can visit (and free-roaming peacocks), and some tasty home-made pies with seasonal fruit!
