The is one of the places that we trust for seafood besides Publix. It is a small store with decent prices and good quality fish and seafood. It is about 30 mins away from Lake Whistler Beach House but it is well worth the drive. The biggest downside is that if you don't go early during the day there will be a bit of a crowd and now with Covid-19 they are making people wait outside while only a certain amount are allowed to shop inside.

Though it is a bit a ways from the house, around 40 mins to get here but there are plenty of outlet stores to go to at great prices...usually. Also there are plenty of places to eat at as well in this area.

This is another choice for shopping if you happen to be in Kissimmee. Many places to choose from for shopping but the prices tend to be a bit better at the outlets. Of course there are also plenty of places to eat around in this area. Kissimmee has a lot to choose from when it comes to food.

3208 N John Young PkwyThis is another choice for shopping if you happen to be in Kissimmee. Many places to choose from for shopping but the prices tend to be a bit better at the outlets. Of course there are also plenty of places to eat around in this area. Kissimmee has a lot to choose from when it comes to food.
There are plenty of places here for shopping here, some sights to see and places to eat. Also the beach is not that from here either! Definitely worth the visit

Sightseeing

There is a club house (which is not the greatest) with a park and benches so you can have a party and get together. They even have a landing and plenty of parking for your car and trailer.
But of course Lake Wistler is a bit better since it is a private lake and the house is right in front of it.

We have seen people do all sorts of water sports in the lake and since Lake Whistler Beach House has a landing on the property you will be able to bring your own watercrafts. As an added bonus you will see lots of birds, turtles, fish and even the elusive otters that live in the lake.

This is a fairly lengthy trail that has some benches along the way for you two stop and take a breather. Also you can stop along the way to enjoy the scenery, have a picnic and just relax. It also connects to the Van Fleet Trail at Polk City. I suggest you take some water and food with you if you plan on going that far.
TECO AUBURNDALE TRAIL
Teco Auburndale TrailThis is a fairly lengthy trail that has some benches along the way for you two stop and take a breather. Also you can stop along the way to enjoy the scenery, have a picnic and just relax. It also connects to the Van Fleet Trail at Polk City. I suggest you take some water and food with you if you plan on going that far.

An old military fort that sits right by the ocean with wonderful views, water and you can even see dolphins there as well. So many people come here just to get away from the crowds of St. Pete beach or fish of the piers. A very nice place to relax at.

Food scene
This is a nice restaurant with your typical Americana food but we mostly go here for the wings. The wings here are quite good and they have many different sauces for the wings. The prices are not bad and they are not too far away from Lake Whistler Beach House. Our personal favorite is the Garlic Parmesan, we can't get enough it. This place is worth the try.

There are a couple of BBQ places around here and out of all of them we prefer coming here because of their BBQ sauce and ribs. I am not saying the other restaurants are bad, by all means they are great in their own right. Though we just like this one a bit more because of certain things.

Now to be honest I never went here because the outside of the building does not look well taken care of and the surrounding area did not make it look very promising either. But after some family brought us donuts from this place we were hooked. These donuts are absolutely delicious and every time we get our donut craving we make it a point to visit The Donut Man.

1290 6th St NWNow to be honest I never went here because the outside of the building does not look well taken care of and the surrounding area did not make it look very promising either. But after some family brought us donuts from this place we were hooked. These donuts are absolutely delicious and every time we get our donut craving we make it a point to visit The Donut Man.
If you are in the mood for gyros I recommend going to The Krazy Greek as they are better compared to the other places in the immediate area. It is about 15 mins out and are great with customers. The only other place I would recommend besides this one is a Greek restaurant in Celebration which is a bit further away.

Now this is one of the best tasting pizza I have had in a while (besides the one I personally make). They use ingredients that are not from a can and the bread is especially tasty. The biggest problem for me is the price to pizza ratio. I feel it is a bit expensive for how much pizza you are getting. It is about 20 mins from Lake Whistler Beach House. If you are ever in the mood for some pretty good somewhat expensive pizza then this is the place for you!
