Public bath house"Sento" 460JPY Tattoo welcomed.
In Japanese language, Public bathhouse is called "Sento".
On the other side, "Onsen" means "natural hot springs".
So Sometime, Some Sento has its Onsen inside, Some don't.
Advice: Bring your own amenities and 2 Towels or Buy them at reception(amount may be about 400 JPY. Rental towels may be about 150JPY (with deposit)if it's available.
Rules you must follow.
1.WASH YOUR BODY and SHAMPOO BEFORE Bath tab or Sauna.
2.DON'T SOAK YOUR TOWELS in Bath tab. (put it on the top of your head)
3.NO SWIM. BE CALM.
4.After SAUNA chamber, RINSE your body to wash out your own sweats with Pail. "2 for your body 1 for your head" is my courtesy.
Sento had played very important role among people for long time.
Not only taking a bath, Local People enjoy Communication, Relaxation, Rejuvenation in Sento.
As a big fan of Japanese public bath culture, I recommend some sento here. I want you to enjoy this tradition with some rules above and be a part of local.

This sento is still clear in My childhood memory.
I used to enjoy this sento almost every week.
My grandmother was very strict about night activity of elementary school student. but I tended to sneak out to visit this old night paradise.
After retirement of original owner, Young leader took over and started renovation to make this sento a kind of Beginners school of sento manner and courtesy.
Now, I recommend this Umeyu to all beginners of Japanese public bath house culture.
You can find kind instruction in English and Chinese on the wall.
and Young staffs are very communicative. You can ask anything about Sento Culture.
You can learn and prepare to be a regular customer of local Sento.
