Is nestled in the Brindabella Ranges and has a good man made short ski and toboggan slope. It has of course much natural snow fall too. So if you want snow play but don't have time to head to the Kosciusko National Park and the ski fields, this is not a bad cheap/small alternative. Don't go though thinking you will have long, winding ski runs. Very short, fast.

This is about a 25 - 30 minute drive from my home but it is a very well designed National Park. It is nestled in the Brindabella Ranges, home to many of the regions indigenous flora and fauna. It has many beautiful walks, off and on the beaten track. Has a great bbq area and kids playground.

It is nestled in the Brindabella Ranges, home to many of the regions indigenous flora and fauna. It has many beautiful walks, off and on the beaten track. Has a great bbq area and kids playground.
Lake Burley Griffin has much to offer - beautiful walks (varying lengths), as part of the Parliamentary Triangle. Cafes along the waters edge as well as many a park bench to sit and watch the city go by (normally dog walking, jogging or cycling). Or take one of the boats on offer as part of the Lake Cruises

Decades of politics and passion echo through the corridors of the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House, making it one of Australia’s most memorable heritage attractions.
It also showcases the year’s best political cartoons, "Behind the Lines" which are a great look back on the year that was with the tongue firmly in the cheek. This is a thoroughly recommended visit, and takes about 2 hours!!

Good micro brewery, five minutes from home. Good priced menu and Pizzas are excellent especially on cheap Tuesday when its two for one!!! Wednesday has cheap schnittys and burgers.
