Preston Market is our local market where I shop for my meat and vegetables. it is Italian influenced with Huge Delicatessen's, big Fresh Seafood and Meat market, fresh fruit and veg market and gift stores etc etc. I adore this MARKET!.

A good day visit as about 45min drive, but you and dog can go on beach, kids can go to Luna Park and the Esplanade Market is in a great location near all the best shops pubs and eateries.

Because it's a fun night out and smokers can still have a bag while watching a flick or stretch your legs. You can grab a pizza to take at Lakeside Pizza or get one of their not so recommended lol burgers. We often get KFC from reservoir to take with.

I have adored this place since I was a child. I remember meeting William Ricketts himself in his studio. When I go into his studio today and listen to him speak I am moved beyond words every time. If you want some true Australian Art History, go there.

I hugely recommend this place in season for the Garden or Nature enthusiast. It has a great cafe overlooking the water. I love the Towns you pass through to get there.

My Husband grew up Surfing this beach and living in Torquay. It is a beautiful part of Australia and well worth a visit and a drive along the Great Ocean Rd.

Yarra River but not like in the city, the place I'm going to tell you about is super special. Yarra River, Bourchiers Road, Kangaroo Ground. This is about a 30 min drive to absolute paradise. The sort of place that makes you wish you could paint. For perfect swimming/picnic spot and yes the best spot ever to let a dog off lead. When you get to car park at dead end of road you will first be blown away by the view, park and then walk toward river and you will see a small gate and trail off to the right. It's ok you can go through the entry and follow path and you will come to a clearing on the wide river bend. Enjoy, even locals don't know about this place lol.
