Anita Street Market is located in historic Barrio Anita, just south of Blue Moon, it's a long walk or a short bike ride away. Food is made fresh daily and includes baked goods in the morning. Food is mostly for take-out, but there is a small dining patio outside.

It features dining and shopping opportunities. There are also usually many programmed events during the year, so check their calendar to find out other opportunities.

Cafe a la Cart is one of my favorite spots in Tucson, it's a very close bike ride away. It shares an outdoor plaza with the Tucson Museum of Art. They have delicious baked goods and food. Great for breakfast or lunch.

A lovely visit within walking distance of the house, the garden attracts lots of butterflies and birds. Exceptionally gorgeous in the spring, a great place for a picnic.

Esquer park is a small neighborhood park located directly north of the casita. A great place to take the pets for a walk or let the kids run around. It has a playground and some ramada/BBQ areas. No bathrooms.

The Loop, aka the Santa Cruz River Park is a multi-use path that runs along the Santa Cruz River. The river is dry most of the year, however there are some pocket parks and other site-seeing destinations along the way. Highly recommended bike path, it is safe and family friendly. It is also an enjoyable walking path. From the casita, it is about a 30-45 minute walk to reach the Mercado, which is located close to downtown. It is about a 10-15 minute bike ride.
