Lots to do year-round at the Prince Arthur's Landing at Marina Park with great views of Thunder Bay's famous "Sleeping Giant" landmark. Also includes lots of walking trails, picnic area, boat docking, splash pad, skateboard and BMX park, ice skating, waterfront restaurants, art gallery, and event space that hosts many local events.

Only a half-hour drive to Kakabeka Falls with year-round access to view this 40 metre high waterfall, the second highest waterfall in Ontario. Excellent views of the falls and gorge from the boardwalk that wraps around the top of the falls. This is an historic route of the voyageurs on the Kaministiquia River, which has cut deep into the rocks to reveal 1.6 Million year old fossils at the bottom of the falls. Walking and nature trails in the summer and groomed cross-country ski trails in the winter.

This public monument commemorating cancer research activist Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope is situated in the outskirts of Thunder Bay, only a 7 minute drive from the home. Wonderful views of the "Sleeping Giant" from this site.
