This is about as FINE as you can get in Nacogdoches. While we have only visited once, it was truly an experience. You need to bring your $$$ as its on the high side of pricy. But if you're in the mood for a one-of-a-kind steak dinners, this may well be the place!

Lake Attractions

This park is really for anglers putting in their boats and for parking. So if you need a boat ramp, this is the closest to the pool house and just down our county road. Take a sharp right before FM 225. It's a little less than 1 mile walk from the pool house. There is a park with picnic tables and swimming...but honestly not the cleanest.

The westside park is larger with walking trails and some scenic overlooks. We would recommend taking your car to the park which is just over 2 miles from pool house. Head back down county road 753. Take a right on FM 225, cross the bridge. The first right is the scenic overlook parking but we recommend parking at the westside entrance which is the second right. Trails are closer to the kids playground. Fishing pier, boat ramp and picnic area.

Nacogdoches Outdoors

This is a great park filled with Pecan trees. This park has is one of 4 disc golf courses. Trails connect and run north for about 3 miles, mostly along a paved path. Creekside tail runs south for another 3 miles running along Lanana Creek. Be sure to check out the old bridge that was moved to the park from the SW corner of Nacogdoches county.

One of the many trails. This is a well-used creek trail that takes you from mid Nacogdoches to the north loop. Pecan Park is located pretty much in the middle.

This trail is located on the west side of North street and best accessed at Rusk Street off of Pearl Street. From here you can go north about a mile with a few scenic (small) waterfalls or go south for a beautiful lightly used trail ending up at Ab's park (look for the big chair). You'll cross our son's Eagle Scout project, a foot bridge that winds around a lower water crossing.

There is paved trail (1 mile loop) but also a back trail system that takes you to tall pines for that real forest feel. We usually get cell service out there so if you get lost, use your maps. We often do 7 mile loop on the back roads and trails.
