Strøget - the main shopping street is a 15 minute walk away. If you navigate towards “Storkespringvandet” (The Stork Fountain) you will arrive at the middle of Strøget. If you go left towards Rådhuspladsen you will pass through the more affordable end of Strøget. If you go right towards Kongens Nytorv you will pass through the pricier end. You can also take the Metro to Kong’s Nytorv (one stop towards Vanløse) and start there.

If you like music this is a great venue. But you can also go just for the building and the surroundings. It's not a long walk from the apartment and on the way there you pass the bridge to Nyhavn and Broens Gadekøkken. There's a boat bus (havnebus) leaving from there regularly. Good way of seeing some sights too.
