The wine bar in Presa is fabulous!!! It is called Wine Bar Ritrovo Presa. Amazing food and a very well stocked wine cellar. It is also walking distance from the house for the adventurous! (40 minutes either along the road or my preference is the path marked ‘Pista Altomontana-Case Bevacqua’)

Family owned restaurant/pizzeria (C, K and J are the kids initials) with lovely food. For dramatics go for the Volcano pizza (set alight) or for a taste explosion anything with CKJ in the title is usually great. This restaurant used to be a cinema so look out for the cinematic props. Could have better decor and sometimes lacks atmosphere but the food and prices make up for this. Sit outside on the street in warm weather!

We have only recently found this gem and have never actually eaten their food, however we did order some fresh pizza dough from them to cook in our pizza oven (for a party) and it was amazing! We will be back.

Our favourite bar in (actually just outside of) Taormina. The village of Castelmola is worth walking up to for the views and this bar, which we affectionately call ‘The Penis Bar’. Not for young children unless you want to explain the birds and the bees to them!
