If you are serious about your seafood, this is for you! Also happens to be a good spot for kids and family meals. The vilage of Beverly Farms is quaint and has some nice shops

Gloucester's working waterfront was established by English investors in 1623 to establish "an industrious hive of pious pishermen-farmers flourishing in the salubrious atmosphere of Cape Ann". It's fishing outputs can be enjoyed at local restaurants, or viewed on TV's Wicked Tuna
