The castle lies on the top of a steep hill called the Tor, and has been fortified since the late Anglo-Saxon period. For anyone who is a member of the National Trust its a must see castle to add to your collection

The Star Inn is a friendly pub with a welcoming bar, log fire and good food to go with good beer. In the summer the large beer garden is open and well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome throughout the pub. Check ahead for COVID arrangements
