Our apartment is in the middle of the historic village of Gold Hill, NC, where gold was first discovered in America. Visit the old mining trails, powder house and historic buildings, do some antiquing and other shopping, eat at our local restaurant, or have a picnic in the arbor or one of the beautiful nearby parks within easy walking distance of our place. Oh, and there is ice cream!
