If you want a day trip and want to get to know Vermont, spend a day in Burlington! About an hour and a half away, you can explore the small city, grab great food to eat, and visit some of Vermont's best breweries. All along Lake Champlain, you cannot complain! This is one place in New England that you won't want to miss!

Pine Hill Park can be accessed at the end of our street. It is dozens of trails for hiking, running, and mountain biking. Take an easy mile walk to Muddy Pond and enjoy some serenity in the middle of Rutland.

Killington Peak via Bucklin Trail is a 7.2 mile mildly trafficked out and back trail located near Rutland, Vermont that features a river and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. It's a slow, steady start for the first 5 miles and then leads straight to the top during the last 2 miles. It's definitely a good, tough, get-your-sweat-on type of hike!

One of our favorite places to ride! About an hour away, Sugarbush Resort is a ski resort located in the Mad River Valley in Warren, Vermont.. It is one of the largest ski resorts in New England. The resort encompasses more than 4000 acres total, 484 trail acres skiable, 53 miles of trails, and 16 ski lifts. Also, it's our favorite drive from Rutland!

Our favorite place to be! Chittenden is the perfect place to explore on a summer day. Jump in and swim, spend the night and camp, hike around the lake. This is a must see! If you want to kayak, call Reservoir Dawgs beforehand. They can even deliver the kayaks for you if you don't have a truck.
