Wreck Beach near UBC is a little slice of heaven. It is a nude beach in Vancouver (but you don't have to go nude). When you turn 360 degrees you don’t see a single building or man made structure. This is probably the best beach in Vancouver.
There are many vendors present, food vendors, beach blanket/clothing vendors and my personal favourite Tim's Boozy Freezies. Go see my friend down at the beach. He hand makes these iconic fruit flavoured boozy freezies made from real juices and organic ingredients (eg. Baileys mudslide, Kiwi Lime Margarita, Raspberry Lemonade). He is located to the left, just down towards the water from the big green food tent.
Note, you do have to walk down a bunch of stairs to get to the beach but it is so worth it and you'll get a good workout bnb on the way up!

Tuesday Nights Drum Circle @ Third Beach
It can get pretty loud and many many people go, hundreds+, but it is a great place to meet people and hangout. This is truly and experience and I highly reccomend checking it out if you are in town on a Tuesday during the summer months.
It starts at anytime after 4 or 5pm and goes until sundown (9pm ish). During the summer there is also a free movie in the park at 2nd beach right after that, starting around 9pm.
Again this a great event and you can choose to sit closer or farther away if you want a more quiet experience. But definitely go into the centre at least once to feel the beat of the drums, experience the energy and dance a bit!

Beautiful, highly recommend renting a bike from one of the Mobi bike stations or a store and checking out one of the best natural parks in a city's worldwide.

This is a great hike with stunning views at the top. Highly recommended! Located in Squamish, about 45 mins from downtown, this hike takes about 3 hours to complete.
There are 3 different peaks to choose from, 1st peak is great and 2nd peak also but is a bit longer of a hike, 3rd peak takes the longest.
Go explore!

Stawamus Chief
This is a great hike with stunning views at the top. Highly recommended! Located in Squamish, about 45 mins from downtown, this hike takes about 3 hours to complete.

Iconic but easy hike with the best lookout at the top! About 45 mins to the top. The view is totally worth the work to get up there.
After your hike stop at honeys donuts for their famous old fashioned fried donuts! To die for.

This hike is NOT for the faint of heart. Will take an average athletics person maybe 1 hour 30 mins to the top. Once you’re at the top you can explore Grouse Mountain, there are many attractions at the top. You can take the gondola on your way down for $10, hiking down is usually not recommended but I’ve done it and it’s free.
This is a GREAT hike if you want to challenge yourself! If you’re in good shape, 45 mins is a good goal for getting to the top. The best hikers have records of 20 mins or less.

Historic gastown with the steam clock. Walk through gastown and get transported to a time long ago. Amazing food choices in the area as well, including the flying pig, ask for Luigi, Bauhaus restaurant, water street cafe, etc etc etc. Also late night Venus for music, especially the Guilt n Co. for amazing live music with different guests every night.
