Gilman is the newest ghost town that I've ever been to, it was abandoned in 1984... even just 10 or so yrs ago it still looked like people could be living there.

The only active volcano in CO, just down 70 a few minutes.
Need a Outback or CRV minimum to get there. No low cars, no 2wd (it is hike-able from the bottom though.)
