Get around safely
We recommend Uber as a way to get around the city safely and quickly. South Africa doesn’t have formal public transport beyond the busses and trains, though their routes are limited and we don’t recommend walking in the city. What you will notice is many mini bus taxis that transport a lot of our citizens, but understanding the signs and signals used within this system would be quite daunting for people who haven’t grown up here.
