I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal at the Royal Yew, from the warm welcome, to the cute setting and tempting menu you won’t be disappointed.

Another favourite of mine is the Belle Vue at Papcastle, if you fancied a little walk then you can follow the river from Broughton all the way to Papcastle.

Kirkstile Inn is a great place to stop for a drink/bite to eat after a walk around Loweswater, Crummock or Buttermere. I would highly recommend that you book first as it’s a popular place for both locals and visitors.

If you are celebrating something special or love your fine dining, The Cottage in the Wood is a must. This Michelin Star restaurant is located in Whinlatter Forest near Keswick. It’s cute but classy and the food is superb.
