Neighbourhoods
This is a diverse neighbourhood dating back to the Victorian period in the mid 1800s on. The Tate and Lyle sugar families donated considerably in the area for public works. The library on south Lambeth road being the main one in this borough. The neighbourhood is very safe and can be walked around. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants from a variety of cultures. Portuguese being especially represented on South Lambeth road.

This newly created neighbourhood is still under development and centres around the new US embassy. There are already many new bars and restaurants popping up so well worth a visit. It’s an easy walk from the flat and takes you to the river, ending in Battersea Park

Sport & Fitness
There are several gyms in the local area but this community gym and squash club in a converted cinema has been in the area for many years. Really friendly team and sense of community. Has sauna and steam room. If you use Class Pass app you can join classes without having to be a member.

A great green space to visit by the river. Amble around the park takes a good 45 mins with lots of different paths and lanes. There’s a boating pond and cafe / bar, tennis courts and a Go Ape adventure playground. Connects to the battersea power station development with lots of restaurants and bars. The pagoda is a particular favourite.
