The wetlands are a nature reserve that are part of a lovely 8km loop from our house, round Cardiff bay. There is info available on the walk about the different species that the reserve attracts. Also a great route for a run.

Brilliant open space in the centre of Cardiff. There are a number of places where you can hire bikes; you can easily get on to the Taff trail from here - a lovely route alongside the river Taff.
