Everyone loves Bamboo! Excellent local Chinese restaurant just a two minute walk from the cottage. Book early at weekends as it gets very busy

Local Italian pizza place, just at the bottom of Kirkgate. Highly recommended for takeaway. If you want to eat in it's recommended that you book in advance as this cosy little restaurant has only a few tables

Serving breakfast from 9am (takeaway from 7.30) and brunch, cakes, and afternoon tea as well as delicious local coffee. Right opposite the Dubwath Silver Meadows nature reserve. Recently raved about in the Guardian by food writer and local lass Grace Dent
