Ski Resorts
About 30 minutes from the house. If it snows overnight there is no better place in the world to ski than the back bowls and Blue Sky Basin in Vail. Get there early to get a parking space in the Vail Village or Lionshead Garage.

Take I-70 west to Glenwood Springs and follow the signs off Hwy 82 to Sunlight. Great place for the kids to take ski lessons. You can get 1-on-1 lessons here for about the same price as a large group lesson at the bigger resorts.

My favorite ski resort in the world and 20 minutes from the house. If you exit in Edwards and go to the Arrowhead section of Beaver Creek, there is a small rental shop and free parking.

Awesome amusement park on top off mountain in Glenwood Springs. Gondola takes you to the top of the mountain. Unique rides such as Alpine Coaster, swing that goes over edge of cliff 1,300 feet above the Colorado river, and the highest elevation roller coaster in the US.
