The entrance to Black Rock Mtn, is less about a mile from the front door of Morning Dew.
Make sure to drive all the way to to the top on a clear day for a 30-40 mile long range view.
They also have a flat & easy lake loop about 1/2 way up which is great for kids.

Nice easy .8 mile waterfall hike.
Very nice waterfall right in Sky Valley. It's a pretty drive out there and the waterfall is about 100 yards for where you park your car. They also have a flat mile or 2 out and back hike.

Summer time fun, small little beach, cook out area. Easy to pop in a paddle board or kayak.
Pretty drive, make sure to drop a pin in your phone because cell reception will be spotty on the curvy mountain roads.

Nice Kayak trip where you can rent kayaks and they give you a GPS track and pick you up at the end. I believe you can do half and full day trips.
They also have a fun little gem mining spot with some goats to pet, if you want a quicker activity with kids.

Pretty drive around the lake. They have a seasonal public beach as well.
There is also boat rentals at Timpson Cove Marina.
