Main Street is the hub here, and Clarion is the county seat. A mountainous town named for the clarion river which is a recreation area hub right down the hill behind the courthouse. Go check it out. A little slower paced than Pittsburgh, and people here are oddly polite. Walk down the street, and you will see what I mean. Things work a little slower here, but that's just the way you might like it on this trip.

This is an awesome view in the heart of Cook forest. This short hike will get you to not only a free fire tower, but also a great view point at Seneca point. Definitely a local favorite and worth the trip. If it's the winter, check out the pale whale canoe fleet to rent some cross country skis and ski the fire tower road.

This is an excellent recreation river. Not too fast, not too dangerous. You can find it in cook forest, or right down over the hill in clarion. If you are only in town for a day, visit toby boat launch on 5th ave for a visit.
