Within short walking distance of the apartment there’s ‘Guayarte’, probably one of the most beautiful places of Guayaquil. On weekends theatre shows and open-air concerts take place there and it has amazing gastronomy to offer!

Have you ever seen an Iguana? Right in front of you, without fences? If not, you should definitely pay a visit to ‘parque seminario’ in the center of Guayaquil.

Once one of poorest and most dangerous neighbourhoods of Guayaquil nowadays it’s a vibrating zone filled with amazing street food and bars. You can climb the stairs to the top for an incredible view from the famous lighthouse of Guayaquil.

The main riverside promenade, called ‘Malecón 2000’ is nice to take a walk or use some of the attractions - maybe a ride on the Ferris wheel ? There are some playgrounds, too, where locals like to take their kids.

Breathtaking nature just 30 minutes away from Casa Apaika. An Island with crocodiles in the middle of Guayas river.

Vecindarios

The neighbourhood ‘Ferroviaria’ of Guayaquil is a quiet, residential area. The bus station is located within 5 minutes of walking distance but you can also walk about 20-30 minutes to the center. In the area there are shops to get groceries and a laundry service. At the end of the street there’s a park where you can exercise and another one with a playground for kids. Also it’s right next to ‘Malecon Salado’, a small riverside promenade.
