Sightseeing
You can't visit the Blue Mountains without seeing the infamous Three Sisters. Echo Point Katoomba is the place to get the main view of these girls. There are plenty of walks around the area and some other vantage points to see them front. A local's tip is to take a drive around Cliff Drive and go past the Scenic Railway and continue around and you'll see a lookout on the left and it has a fabulous less crowded view of the three sisters.

Leura is an iconic little mountain town with Leura Mall filled with little shops and cafes. Great for a wander and shop.
Aslo in Leura is the Toy and Railway Museum for the kids and there is great views for photos from the amphitheatre across the road.

Blackheath is a lovely little village along the Great Western Highway and has the historic Victory theatre which is now a antiques and curiosities shop with a cafe at the front. There are some fabulous walks from Blackheath at Evans Lookout is worth a visit and walk around.

A visit to Megalong Valley is a must and there is the Tea house for a coffee/cake or meal in the peace and quiet of the beautiful Megalong Valley, also down there for the wine enthusiasts there is a winery or two. Megalong Valley Farm is also there which is great for the kids and horse riding.

The Hydro Majestic is steeped in history and has amazing view across the valley. There is the gift shop/coffee shop that is there and has great history items and photos. Also there is the Boiler House restaurant with amazing views.

If you have a bit of time and don't mind a bit further drive, head out to Jenolan Caves, many caves at various levels for walking through and the Blue Lake is beautiful. The road out there is NSW's answer to the Amalfi Coast :)
