Recommended restaurants Most Popular, Sexy Fish (1001 S. Miami Ave.) Located in Brickell Flatiron, upscale dinery, Sexy Fish will offer exquisite Japanese-inspired cuisine, and the largest Dom Perignon selection in the entire country. This is only the second Sexy Fish location, the first being in London, UK, which houses the largest Japanese whiskey selection in the world. It’s no secret that Sexy Fish will have an extensive cocktail selection, however, the drinks aren’t the only thing that make this spot stand out. There will also be plenty of late-night entertainment and music, adhering to the local culture. The menu includes many of the original Sexy Fish’s signature dishes, like fresh sushi, sashimi, and fish or meat cooked on a Robata Grill. This restaurant elegantly delivers one of the most unique and exclusive dining experiences in all of South Florida, if you are looking for a meal you won’t forget, you’ll find it at Sexy Fish Miami. Combine the delectable cuisine with the sleek design and vibrant atmosphere, this exquisite food hall is one of the top places for lunch and dinner in all of Brickell.  Zuma (270 Brickell Blvd Way) As heralded international chef Rainer Becker’s first U.S location for his line, Zuma features izakaya- inspired modern Japanese cuisine. The thing that struck when going to Zuma for the first time is the magnificent design inside the massive establishment and the multitude of spaces you can enjoy your meal; all with unique views and vibes. Zuma has a main dining area, sushi and robata counter, sake bar, lounge, and even a terrace. The term Izakaya quite literally means “edible art,” and this is truly what you experience at Zuma. Not only is the food like a picturesque portrait, but the flavor and experience is out of this world. Fi’lia (1300 S Miami Ave) Nestled within the recently opened SLS Brickell Hotel, Fi’lia is the epitome of wholesome Italian dining. Opened by celebrity chef Michael Schwartz, “Fi’lia” -which is actually a spin-off of the Italian word for “daughter”- offers homemade, rustic, classical Italian cuisine with handmade pastas, brick-oven pizzas, along with fresh meats and seafood. Fi’lia is a perfect dinner location in my opinion as it is a quaint and elegant spot intertwined with an open-kitchen concept making you feel comfortable and at home. The Margherita pizza at Fi’lia is a must- have and classics like Cacio e pepe are superb as well. If your on the daring side you have to indulge in the Snapper Tartare garnished with smoked trout roe, served alongside crisp Yukon potato chips. An honest family atmosphere, Fi’lia has all the right ingredients for a memorable evening with your partner. La Mar (500 Brickell Key Dr) La Mar is a Peruvian masterpiece developed by the world-renowned chef Gaston Acurio. La Mar truly has some magnificent views of the city and Biscayne Bay and the interior offers a comfortable and cozy vibe. The spot offers a combination of indoor and outdoor seating with three contemporary bars providing distinctive culinary experiences ranging from upscale novo-Andean cuisine to Asian-Peruvian fusion and traditional seafood. Some of the most brilliant features of this premium dining experience are the tremendous ceviches, tiraditos, and the signature pisco sours. The meats are exquisite at La Mar and the plantain chips are delightful with their famous Tari sauce. For an romantic evening with your partner or a gathering with family and friends, La Mar will serve your savory desires.  KOMODO (801 Brickell Ave ) Positioned in the heart of Brickell, Komodo is an indoor-outdoor restaurant and lounge space that combines Southeast Asian cuisine with the booming nightlife culture of Miami. Some of the most popular dishes served at Komodo are the Peking Duck, Tuna & Toro Roll, and Lobster Dynamite. The eatery spans three-stories and offers a bar on each level with artisanal cocktail menus. Additionally, Komodo features outdoor seating in the form of “birds nests”, which creates a playful and relaxing vibe suited for any occasion, day or night. Komodo is well known in Miami for its inviting feel, delicious food, and IG-worthy aesthetics; the attention to detail from the dishes to the decorations truly make this restaurant feel unique and authentic. Owned by David Grutman, Komodo Miami has served the likes of celebrities to locals, and is sure to elevate your standards for a truly extraordinary dining experience.  Quinto La Huella (788 Brickell Plaza) If you are looking for a spot in Brickell, Miami that offers a relaxing environment that promotes ethnic, simple, and delicious food, Quinto La Huella is the place to be. Executive Chef, Nano Crespo, incorporates his culinary expertise to create a menu that subsides every seafood lovers desires. Not a fan of seafood? Quinto La Huella offers pizza, pasta, and traditional food from Uruguay making it flexible for vegetarians. My favorite dish is the rich ravioli de ricotta y acelga, a charred ravioli dish coated in tomato and parmesan. The soft texture of the ravioli paired with a savory sauce is undeniably culinary excellence. While Quinto La Huella offers a wonderful array of choices for food, they also have a large drinks menu that consists of champagne, rose, white wine, sangria, red wine, and special La Huella drinks. The Caipi Maracuya, which perfectly pairs with any meal on the menu, is vodka infused with passion fruit and cane sugar. Visit Quinto La Huella for a traditional Uruguayan meal while also enjoying the contemporary ambience of the top rated restaurant.  The River Oyster Bar (650 S Miami Ave) The River Oyster Bar is one of Miami’s top seafood destinations found near the Miami River. A true gem of a restaurant, The River delivers a contemporary twist on classic seafood dishes in a refreshing and comfy location. This seafood lover’s dream is well-known for its selection of hand-shucked premium oysters, hand-selected local produce, and fresh cold-water fish brought in from Alaska. The happy hour is tremendous and the service is second to none when it comes to Miami restaurants. Perfect for a romantic evening out or a business rendezvous, The River Oyster Bar will surely satisfy your needs.  Tacology (701 S Miami Ave) Officially known in my opinion as the haven of taco, Tacology is home to some of the best Mexican street food in all of Dade County. Located in the heart of the Brickell City Center, Tacology’s neon purple logo is hard to miss. Tacology was created by Chef Santiago Gomez and has a unique market atmosphere with majestic hanging vines, decadent canopies, and colorful seats. My favorite dish out of them all at Tacology would have to be the Pulled Chicken Chilaquiles served with tangy tortilla chips, freshly made tomatillo salsa, along with exquisite Manchego cheese. On top of that -a dish that is great with friends or family as an appetizer- is the Queso Fundido, a brilliant fondue with warm tortillas. When you need to satisfy those powerful Mexican food cravings look no further than Tacology, a one-of-a-kind taco experience located in the heart of Brickell.   Cantina La 20 (465 Brickell Ave)  “The Twenty” as I like to call it, is a masterpiece of a cantina reflecting true Mexican cultural essence. A deli, restaurant, and cafe all rolled up into one perfect concoction with mariachis in the background, world- class chef Santiago Gomez has positioned Cantina Veinte among the best restaurants in Miami. Words cannot do justice to describe the magnificent Art Deco architecture within Cantina La Veinte with its brilliant black and gold colors and enchanting geometry. The food is equally as enticing with dishes from each Mexican state featuring avant-garde techniques such as vacuum cooking and spherification. The “vuelve la vida” Mexican ceviche is like taking a nibble of heaven; bursting with an avalanche of juices and citrus it is a must have. They also have over 250 tequilas and mezcals to choose from. I don’t know about you compadre, but for me that’s my way of relaxing and unwinding to find my nirvana. Courtesy of Brickell com   All rights reserved 2021

Address 55SW 17th Rd, Miami FL 33129 Journey down Simpson Park’s trails and explore fossils right beneath your feet. For more than a century, Simpson Park has been serving South Floridians awe and wonder. Urban dwellers need not fret – this natural habitat isn’t far from the city. Look up and spot a Metromover lurking past the branches or a city skyscraper peering through the leaves. In the hustle and bustle of Downtown Miami’s urban living, Simpson Park is the breath of fresh air needed to keep the peace flowing. Let nature be the guide. Here are four reasons to visit Simpson Park. 1. It’s close to the city Located at 55 SW 17th Road, Miami 33129, Simpson Park is just a stones throw from Downtown Miami and a Metromover ride from Mary Brickell Village. There is ample parking for nature lovers to park the car and access this public treasure. Cyclists are also welcomed. Bring a bike-lock and use the free bike racks to secure your bike’s wheels and enjoy one of the many nature trails in the park. Start at the visitor’s center for mandatory registration and check out the park’s historical cliff notes from 1913 to present. 2. Nature trails & nature watch To the novice, Simpson Park is simply a city park to catch a moment of serenity. To the naturist it’s teeming with life. With the historical designation of an Old Forest Growth Community, these 7.8 acres serve as the home to 162 plant species including 15 endangered species and 9 threatened species, including Wild Cinnamon, Coffee Colubrina, Yellow Boxwood and the Redberry Stopper to name a few. Bring a friend or the family to walk the trails and discuss the ecology of branches, birds, insects and fauna. Look for tiny natural aquifers that are snuggled into rocks and baby turtles that muster around koi fish enjoying a splash in the pond waiting for the humans who bring them treats. Some uprooted trees mark their territory in the park so be sure to tread lightly while exploring the wondrous yet microscopic ecosystem living on every branch. Bring a picnic basket and make it a date under the lush canopy of tropical hardwood hammock peaking with delicious sunshine that soothes the soul. 3. History & fossils on every trail For the affectionate lovers of history, nature, and politics – Simpson Park delivers. Once called Jungle Park, it was founded in 1913 by a progressive group who could see the future ramifications on nature by a soon-to-be metropolis. Preserving the natural hammocks that were dug up to build Brickell, Simpson Park is now one of three last remaining tracts of Brickell Hammock which once ran from the Miami River to Coconut Grove. In 1927 the park’s name changed in honor of botanist and conservationist, Charles Torrey Simpson who was affectionately known as the “Sage of Biscayne Bay.” His own backyard contained a hardwood hammock which he made accessible to more than 50,000 people. Simpson Park is a fusion of man and nature with its wild landscape and man-made koi pond. Journey down the trails and explore the fossils right beneath your feet! Tiny seashells, dried coral and rocks line the trails to create a leveled path. For shell collectors, these are the ones to leave behind so as not to disturb the habitat. 4. Its Free! Yes, you read right. Who doesn’t like free? Free parking, free entry (with registration in the visitors office) and free guided tours (weekends only with RSVP). Like the old adage states: the best things in life are free.

Brickell Backyard transforms the space underneath Miami’s elevated Metrorail into a lush linear park in one of Miami’s densest areas. As The Underline’s first built section, Brickell Backyard sets the tone for future phases of the 10-mile-long corridor with native gardens, improved pedestrian and bicycle pathways, and various active, passive, and cultural programs and public art. The park’s design implements character zones that give users a consistent yet dynamic experience, responding to the neighboring communities’ priorities that were identified as part of the initial Framework Plan. Brickell Backyard’s design is organized as a procession of rooms including the River Room, Gym, Promenade, and Oolite Room, offering a combination of places for respite, social gathering, fitness, performance, art, and commuting. Brickell Backyard also provides lushly vegetated social spaces with planting inspired by historic plant communities that once dominated the area, anchoring the project in its location in South Florida. Starting with Brickell Backyard, The Underline is linking adjacent neighborhoods with downtown Miami and other destinations through its bicycle and pedestrian paths that directly connect with the Miami-Dade transit system. In a city that has always been car-centric, this represents a fundamental shift. As a leading example for the region and by creating a central spine, the project sets the foundation for a robust network of sustainable mobility corridors throughout Miami. The Underline represents a new form of public space, leveraging existing infrastructure and pairing new natural habitats with multimodal paths that link directly to public transit. Reimagining what was once perceived as divisive infrastructure into an inclusive connector, The Underline fosters community.
