During the winter it has ski, snow boarding, snow tubing, and ice skating activities.
During the summer they open the ski lifts for scenic-view rides. They use the slopes for mountain biking trails, and they also have a disc golf course you can play. They have yoga at the Skybar at the top Saturday mornings.
The Beech Mountain Brewing Company at the resort serves delicious food and beers year round!

The Emerald Outback was built and maintained by the Town of Beech Mountain Parks and Recreation Department. It's free and open to the public seven days a week, dawn until dusk. The Trailhead for this system is at the Summit Lot, which can be accessed by following the Beech Mountain Parkway to North Pinnacle Ridge Road. Parking is free.
