Only one choice of pizza a day at this treasured Berkeley pizzeria, and you usually wait in a fast-moving socially distanced line to get one, but the pizza is exceptional. In normal times there is a band playing inside for tips, and there is a lot of musical talent in Berkeley. Be sure to pick up the Papi Chulo sauce for your pie. There is a "parklet" outdoor seating area.

There are only a handful of restaurants here in this gourmet food court, but that doesn’t make the decision process any easier. There is Kirala, where you can get anything from sushi to udon. Soop that specializes in hearty soups and bahn mi that feature Mexican flavors. Save room for dessert because Lush Gelato is not to be missed. Take your food out back to the hidden courtyard that boasts a tranquil zen garden and multi-level platforms. There is also the Imperial Tea Garden, a separate restaurant that serves doughy handmade noodles in various dishes.
