Spectacular and unique views. Hikes that range from easy to challenging. Many vista points that are easily accessible by car. Well worth a day trip to explore.

If you haven't seen it in person, you need to. There is an easy trail out from the visitor's center called Bright Angel Point that really captures the grandeur of this place. They have many other trails as well (inquire online or at entrance station). Well worth the 2.5 hour drive from our home for a day trip, and you would be back in time for dinner at Escobar's Mexican restaurant in Kanab.

North Rim Visitor Center
Arizona 67If you haven't seen it in person, you need to. There is an easy trail out from the visitor's center called Bright Angel Point that really captures the grandeur of this place. They have many other trails as well (inquire online or at entrance station). Well worth the 2.5 hour drive from our home for a day trip, and you would be back in time for dinner at Escobar's Mexican restaurant in Kanab.
A truly amazing reservoir on the Colorado River with several marinas offering boat rentals and boat tours. Wahweap Marina is the closest to our home, about a 2 hour drive from us. Antelope Point Marina is another option on the Navajo Nation Reservation which is maybe 15-20 minutes further through the town of Page AZ. Page has many large grocery stores and restaurants as well.

A truly amazing reservoir on the Colorado River with several marinas offering boat rentals and boat tours. Wahweap Marina is the closest to our home, about a 2 hour drive from us. Antelope Point Marina is another option on the Navajo Nation Reservation which is maybe 15-20 minutes further through the town of Page AZ. Page has many large grocery stores and restaurants as well.
