Saratoga Hot Spring is a great natural soaking pool located in the lakeside wetlands at the northwest shore of Utah Lake. It is alternatively known as Inlet Hot Spring in many resources. To visit the spring, park at Inlet Park and take the cement path southward. After 150 yards enter a grove of trees and soon the soaking pool is on your left surrounded by mud, reeds, and fantastic views of the Wasatch Mountains as a backdrop.
The spring water seeps from several sources that feed into the main pool. The water is a comfortable temperature, generally just below 100 degrees. There is a lot of room, but it can still become crowded on weekends. A bench and towel rack have been provided by the city, which are quite useful since the ground around the pool is almost always muddy.
When not soaking, look for the narrow path through the reeds out to the edge of Utah Lake where you can do bird watching and snap panoramic photos of the mountains. Sunset is stunning from this location. Make note of where the return trail is, because it can be hard to locate among the reeds, especially after dark.
Rules:
Local ordinance bans nudity and alcohol on the site. Law enforcement does patrol this area.

The Ranches Golf Club is a spectacular 18-hole championship facility nestled in the hillside valley between Lehi and Eagle Mountain (in the same neighborhood as our Airbnb 🙂). Featuring a Western theme, The Ranches Golf Club offers golfers a relaxing retreat with acres of elbow room to enjoy.
Carved from the native prairie, the course’s 188 acres present golfers a true links-style experience. Designed by noted architect Ron Garl, the golf course was created to play a challenging 6,861 yards from the back tees, yet offering multiple tee boxes to cater to players of all skill levels.
While the shot quality and attractive layout will keep golfers focused and entertained, it will be difficult for even the most serious golfers to avoid being caught up in the surrounding vistas. To the South is Lake Mountain. To the East towers the Wasatch Front. To the West are the peaks of the Oquirrh Mountains, and Utah Lake is visible to the South.

Nestled in the Utah mountains and home to the 2002 winter olympics this place is a must see regardless of the season. There is a great ski resort in the winter and great outdoor activities in the summer like mountain biking and the alpine slide.

Sightseeing
American Fork Canyon (Hwy. 92) through Uinta National Forest to Provo Canyon (Hwy. 189)
This 20-mile drive winds through rugged alpine canyons of the Wasatch Range offering stupendous views of Mount Timpanogos and other glacier-carved peaks. The route follows Utah Hwy. 92 up American Fork Canyon and then continues through Uinta National Forest into Provo Canyon on U.S. 189. Timpanogos Cave National Monument and Robert Redford's Sundance are located along the route. Along the route, take a short detour to Cascade Springs. This mountain spring is crisscrossed by a 1/4-mile boardwalk, leading out over clear natural pools and cascading terraces filled with fish and aquatic plants.
Entirely paved, the Alpine Loop is open from approximately late May to late October. Snow closes part of the road for the rest of the year. Not recommended for vehicles more than 30 feet long.
Visitors must purchase a recreation pass to use facilities in this area. A $6 pass is available and good for 3 days; a $12 pass is good for 7 days; there is also a $45 annual pass available. The passes are good for recreation along both the Alpine Scenic Loop and the Mirror Lake Hwy.
