A beautiful trail to hike or bike. The trailhead is very easy to get to. Once there, depending on how much time you have and preferred difficulty level, there are many routes to choose from.

If you have time, highly recommend driving to Blowing Rock. The cute downtown has a nice selection of restaurants, coffee shops, and many home decor/antique shops and art galleries. You can easily spend a day exploring here. The drive from Banner Elk to Blowing Rock is easily one of our favorite routes.
