From Coffee by Design coffee to acai bowls and freshly baked goods, you can't go wrong with Cafe 64's selections. Their Tugboat salad is one of my faves. I've never had a bad meal from them. Order ahead and pick it up!

Just down the road from us, Joseph's is the place to go if you're looking for something a bit fancier than the day to day beach food options. They have gorgeous views from their rooftop and patio dining areas and you cannot go wrong with their food and cocktails. A must-do for date night or a brunch date! Bill's Pizza and Pier French Fries next door to them are the classic OOB grab and go meal... you cannot go wrong with either.

If you have time to dedicate a day to Peaks Island, I highly recommend it! You’ll take a short ferry from Portland’s Old Port and then soon be on the island, exploring. I recommend renting a golf cart (needs to be done in advance, online). There are 2 golf cart companies on the island) so you can explore the entire island. On the opposite side of the ferry terminal there are old military barracks you can walk through. Definitely fun for adults and older kids alike. And several beaches to explore along the way.
