If you are a third wave coffee buff (like me), this is a must. They are takeout only currently but have a pop up every so often. They have the best coffee in town, hands down. Plus the owners are friendly and fantastic. Tis the Richmond small biz way.

OG Italian spot. Been here forever. Never stops drawing a crowd. Worth the reservation, worth the wait. Good old fashioned Italian at its finest. Plus outstanding seafood.

This is a great little spot near the house. Only half a mile, easy walk. It’s considered a rock and roll bar; arcade games, black and white tile floors, fun movies playing on the tv’s, plus epic cocktails and decent bar fare. A fine little spot if you don’t want to trek too far from the house.

A fine little spot if you don’t want to trek too far from the house.
Hands down, one of THE best bakeries I’ve ever been to. Small biz, wood fired, breads, pastries and Recluse coffee! You will fall in love and probably eat way too many pastries. But it’s oh-so worth it.

A little off the beaten path but great Vietnamese sandwich shop. Banh mi, buns, and other delicious sundries. Also located near an Asian market that has wonderful goodies. Plus! a kick ass pho joint a few doors down.

The Smoky Mug is a short walk from the house, less than half a mile. It’s a quaint little coffee shop that also does BBQ for lunch. It’s not the finest of coffee selections but it’s close and does the job.

Sister spot to Grisette, Jardin will give you an authentic European experience. Curated wines by the bottle, fine cheese and charcuterie and of course, the patio. Jardin does not disappoint.

The portions are a nice size for sharing and Tuesday is pizza night!

For a fantastic view of the city, catch a sunset, or to have a picnic. Libby Hill Park is nice for many things. It’s also rich with history and has many landmarks nearby.

This museum does not disappoint. It houses some great pieces and always has a unique exhibition. 10/10
