A 15 minute walk over farmland reserve will take you to this gorgeous secluded beach. Swim, picnic, fish or play and spend the day here. Walk on out to Busby Head for wonderful views or complete the 1 hour loop track through native reserve and regenerating bush past the historic gun emplacements of WW2. Check out the soldiers mural.

Smuggler's Bay
A 15 minute walk over farmland reserve will take you to this gorgeous secluded beach. Swim, picnic, fish or play and spend the day here. Walk on out to Busby Head for wonderful views or complete the 1 hour loop track through native reserve and regenerating bush past the historic gun emplacements of WW2. Check out the soldiers mural.
Ocean Beach is an absolutely stunning piece of Northland’s coast. Can be still and hot or wild and moody depending on the season and weather. Climb around the rocks at low tide or over the hill to an even more expansive beach. Swim. Surf. Walk for hours. Collect shells. Watch the waves. Also links to excellent tracks and look outs. (Surf life savers on duty through summer months)

Incredible views of the harbour, Whangārei Terenga Paraoa - meeting place of the whales - and other significant landmarks, Te Whara, Reotahi, and island of Taranga.

Reotahi / Mt Aubrey is a 5 minute drive to a lovely track either up and down to the summit or along the ridge to Little Munro Bay, with great views of Whangārei harbour and McLeod Bay
