You can walk to Manhattan Beach via the scenic Ocean Avenue footbridge, and many prized properties come with a private dock, making you forget you are only a subway ride away from Manhattan. Despite new buildings like a recent luxury tower offering both condos and rentals (and built to withstand flooding), Sheepshead Bay has mostly resisted extensive new developments and remains a haven for those looking for space and a slower pace.

Getting around on a bike is pretty easy and fun. Bike lane around the corner from the home that will take you to Emmons ave restaurants on the water. There are bike lanes that will take you Plumb beach ( 10 min ride), Manhattan Beach (5 min ride) and Brighton Beach ( 15 min ride).
