Sightseeing
This trail is a boardwalk over a seasonal wetland that leads to an impressively large cedar tree in the woods. There is a small section of the trail that goes through the forest (if desired - otherwise, it is a nice out and back on the boardwalk). There are picnic tables available at around the halfway point as well.

A family-friendly walk through the woods with some paved surfaces and some dirt/gravel surfaces, ending with a view of the bay. There are several trails and maps onsite to help you navigate them.

The South entrance to the Neahkahnie mountain trail system is my favorite local hike! To get to the tippy top, there is a bit of a rock scramble - though it is worth the view, especially on a clear day! “Neahkahnie Mountain via South Trailhead” on AllTrails.

Manzanita's farmers market is a great place to spend a Friday evening! Open 4-7pm during the season (May 26th- September 22, 2023) located about 20 minutes north of the cottage at Underhill Plaza, 635 Manzanita Avenue in Manzanita, OR. There are great restaurants in Manzanita as well to make an evening of it!
