Sightseeing
The National park is accessible from our front door! Such a special place, walk over to little bay (fantastic barbecue facilities & resident kangaroos. (5mins) & there are several walking tracks from a 2km headland walk (return) where in season the whale are passing right in front of you. A longer walk to the lighthouse, 8 km (one way) is a special thing to do. Bush & ocean views. Or just a short stroll to duck lagoon (the old water storage for Arakoon) with abundant kangaroo’ s & an excellent children’s playground.

Smokey cape lighthouse is a ‘must visit ‘ . An amazing panoramic view of the coast line from the light house itself & if walking to the top is not possible for you there are great views & resident kangaroo’s from the base. Picnic tables & toilet facilities are provided. An easy walk from the car park.

We have a quiet lovely spot in Arakoon with a short stroll to the beaches, we respect our neighbours & expect our guest to as well. No excessive noise after 10pm.

A surf shop that hires bikes & boards. 1/2 doz unique clothing stores. Homewares, butcher, chemist, bakery & on the outskirts of town a coles supermarket & bottle shop. Plus many good cafes & restaurants 😊
