Food scene

Located just 10 min walk from Mountain View Cabin, this grocery store has well, pretty much anything, we ended up stopping in here a couple of times during a long weekend trip. Blanton's is a smallish supermarket with a bit of everything. It has a kind of old-fashioned, non-corporate feel that's sort of refreshing, right down to the large, kooky mural painted on the front wall outside the doors. In addition to a decent produce section and the usual grocery staples, they have some local stuff like fudge, Mt. Rainier postcards, and this weird bulk-bin cookie case. It literally looks like they open up boxes of these off-brand sugar cookies and dump them into big plastic cubbies. Should be exciting for kids who want to mix-n-match a cookie assortment, but I'd think they would get a little stale
