This is a fantastic hike especially on a hot day. Lots of waterfalls and rivers to check out so the kids will not get bored! The really clean bathrooms at the start of the trail are a bonus too!

The hike to lake Serene is a 7 Mile round trip with 1,300 feet of elevation gain. As you can imagine that's a lot of climbing. Lots and lots of stairs. But the hike to get to the lake is worth it. The water is a gorgeous color and it is so peaceful and quiet.

If you are introducing someone to hiking, limited on time, or trying to add on another hike or activity in the area, this is the hike for you.
