Sightseeing
Parking lots to the backside of the park are just 0.6 miles away, with maps & hiking trails to take you up the mountain. Mountain top offers Gorgeous views of the entire valley on a clear day. There are several trailheads for short day hikes, but you can also just drive to the top. Highly Recommend, especially since you are residing so close by!

Foys Lake is the closest lake to Kalispell, Montana. This 235ac surface area is a beautiful turquoise color & offers recreational boat launch, fishing, swimming docks or a place to peacefully kayak/canoe. NOTE: Fishing licenses are req'd & can be purchased from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks.
This is a ski resort, but during the off season they still run their lifts. Check website for current prices, but usually it's not much to get a ride on the ski lift and get a view of most of the valley from the top. Gorgeous 360 views!

Flathead lake is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Very beautiful blue water. You can rent kayaks and boats to explore this vast lake. Old Faithful Watersports has jetskis, speedboats, pontoons, and paddleboards for rent.

Food scene
Definitely a local favorite! It's been around a long time, and most of the old timers come here. Good food, and giant portions! Still has a diner feel to it. One of our family favorites! Expect a wait if you are in a large party, so plan accordingly. Definitely worth the wait, you'll want to keep coming back!

Good BBQ, burgers, and sandwiches served here. Their beef brisket platter with a side of bottomless strawberry lemonade is a wonderful dinner after a long day. Great local option.
