The restaraunt here has indoor and outdoor dining and is in the heart of downtown. The indoor dining is more formal while outside there is a casual, large outdoor patio area. They have consistently great food. A staff favorite is the toasted salad with blue cheese and or the French Onion Soup.
The bar is a local favorite.

Fantastic little bakery on the main street. Their stuffed croissants are a meal in themselves!

V Restaraunt has fine dining and next door is the V-Bistro bar which has a smaller menu. Great food and amazing cocktails! Their hamburger is in the running for the best ever!

In our opinion...the best fine dining in the county. The chef is onsite and you can see the kitchen staff cooking your meal as you sip your wine. We usually order small for dinner so-as not to miss out on their fabulous deserts!

Mexican food in the heart of downtown Murphys. We love eating outside on their patio. Their molcajete is no joke- bring your appetite or split between two people.

Just outside of downtown Murphys on Highway #4. You can't beat having dinner and drinking margaritas at their outdoor area next to the Murphys Creek. The chicken mole is great as well as their Caldo de Pollo soup!

Sightseeing
A trip to the area isn't complete without a picnic at Big Trees State Park that has Giant Sequoia Trees. Enjoy hanging out next to the Stanislaus River, learning about flora and fauna at the visitor's center, picnicing on one of the many benches throughout the park...but most importantly taking a hike through one of the Sequoia Groves. During the winter on Saturday they loan snowshoes on a first-come basis.
