Going to the beach?
Parking is cheaper at a state park. Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park, and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park are nice beaches to visit that will not drain your wallet.
Go EARLY to avoid long lines. 7-9am is ideal.
If it rains, seek cover, it will USUALLY stop raining in 10 minutes or so. Use your best judgement.
Wear sunscreen and reapply. You will get sunburnt. Peak hot hours are 10am-2pm.
Pay attention to the lifeguard flags. Green - nice water conditions, Yellow - be cautious, Red - Do not go in, dangerous. Purple - stinging sea life; jellyfish etc..

Interested in doing an event? Call 1-2 weeks before to make a reservation. Boats usually require reservations. Tips are appreciated on boats.

Wear thin clothing it is really hot all year round. Umbrellas are recommend the weather changes every 10 minutes.
BUG SPRAY - South Florida mosquitoes will eat you up.

When dining out, it is customary to tip your waiter a minimum of 15%. Eating at a bakery, or a fast food spot is appreciated but not required.
