Some of the most meticulously well-made beer you'll ever have in your life. Their hazy and west-coast IPAs are the best in the city. Food menu is pretty non-existent so plan to eat elsewhere.

It is a nice 10-15 minute walk from the Airbnb through the historic Strathcona neighbourhood. Great family owned place for pizza and beer.

A great bar with a fantastic selection of local beer. They offer a full pub and dinner menu too. It is about a 10 minute walk from the Airbnb. The owner also has two other establishments, Brassneck brewing in Mount Pleasant is one of my favourite breweries and the Magnet bar is located in 'crosstown.'

One of Vancouver's best fine-dining experiences in a non-pretentious space. Getting a reso can be tough so plan ahead.

Another fine dining gem that is ridiculous close to the apartment. Locally sourced ingredients form the basis of most of their dishes. A one of a kind experience!

Sightseeing
Stanley Park is a famous tourist destination for good reason. It is beautiful and as a local I'm still discovering new parts of the park. I'd recommend getting there by bike. If you head west on Alexander st. (two blocks North of the bnb) you will get to CRAB park, keep biking past it,(it's a bit of an odd route at first and you will actually go under the Vancouver Convention Center). You will reach a fork and should turn right, that will take you right to the seawall.

There is a restaurant at the top with incredible views of Howe sound.
If you are traveling with kids you may want to check out Science World, but either way it is on the sea wall and a nice place to walk around. You can catch an aquabus from Science World to Granville Island or Yaletown and its a fun and affordable way to explore the city by water.

If you are interested in taking a day trip to an island off of Vancouver, Bowen is a short ferry ride away and there are some nice hikes and spots to visit on the Island.
You would want to take the number 4 or 7 bus downtown and then catch a 250 express bus on Georgia st. This will take you to Horseshoe bay where you can catch ferries to Bowen, Gibson's or Vancouver Island.

The airbnb is less than 10 minutes form Chinatown. If you leave the apartment on foot and take Jackson past Hastings to Keefer st. you can explore the nice part of this area. There are lots of great restaurants and cafes.

If you leave the apartment you can walk about 10 minutes west down Powell st. and you will reach Gastown. This is a fun neighbourhood with numerous shops, coffee shops, bars and restaurants.
