Very good quality pizza's! They don't do take out and make sure to have a reservation, it is always packed with pizza lovers.

Marqt is an upscale sustainable supermarket with mostly (but not all) organic products. Their fish & other fresh departments are outstanding, as is the interior. This does come with a price though ;-)

All in Dutch proportions off course ;-), you could call this our 'Central Park'. It is beautiful but can be bit crowded on sunny days. For kids the childrens pool and playground in the center is nice.

Unlike the Vondelpark, which is also beautiful but much too crowded on sunny days, this is more of a hidden gem in the western part of the city. it is big and has many nice hidden areas for all kind of visitors. During summer it is often a place for festivals.

Closest beach and easy to reach by train. Escape the city when it is too hot and have a nice dive into our sea or a refreshing walk along the boulevard before heading back into town.

Sightseeing
Really nice litlle children's farm with donkey, pig, chicken, rabbits, playground etc. It is sort of hidden so you will not find it by accident. it is a left (or right ;-) at the roundabout.

Because there is too much information on sightseeing and 'must have seen' for me to tell you about. it is all collected at the tourist office (called VVV) and they do a much better job than I can ;-)

It is not only right around the corner of our house, but it happens to also be one of the cheapest places in town to rent a bike!
