Beluga Point is aptly named for able often see Beluga pods in Turnagain Arm, although it's also a great spot for Dall sheep sightings as well if you turn and look up the mountain side. This is one of our favorite places to scramble and climb on rocks after crossing the railroad tracks. Please cross quickly with caution, and DO NOT walk along the tracks. It is often windy here. Don't forget binoculars.

The Coastal Trail is almost 12 miles long and is a wonderful multi-use path that affords stunning views of Denali, downtown Anchorage, Fire Island, paths to beaches and at Point Waranzof, a place watch huge cargo planes take off and land right your head. Walk it, bike it, run it. Bring bear spray and watch for moose. Even though it's a poplar trail, wildlife are common.
