There’s a store, good fish n chip shop, playground and loads of tracks to explore: We recommend: walk out to Fisherman’s rock for a great view over Oneroa beach, or take the coastal track between Little O and Oneroa beach. You can walk between the two at low tide.

2 mins down the road from the Loft, it’s a great beach and unknown to most tourists. Swim at high tide or explore the beach at low tide. Also take the Esplanade for a lovely quiet off road walk to Blackpool and up to Oneroa village.

Bus or taxi to us
Catch the 50A, 50B or 501 bus from the ferry terminal to Surfdale, getting off at the Bowling club stop. No Ubers on Waiheke, but a lot of friendly local drivers, we recommend Wai Cabs.

Every beach has a playground, an outdoor shower and Little O has a change table. Little O best for 0-2; Palm beach 2-10; for a great playground adventure head out to the Tin Boat park at Onetangi (no toilet there tho!) or to the quaint little playground at Omiha/ Rocky Bay.
